Hatfield

This dilapidated apartment in a

Grade II Listed 1950's block was elegantly restored. The space was taken back to its roots and contemporary comfort added

within the constraints of an

extremely tight budget.

A minimal palette of materials complemented and enhanced the existing fabric, unifying the two floors of the maisonette and adding to the sculptural quality of the space.

The subtle use of lighting set

against oak, walnut and terrazzo provides richness and warmth.

The project was completed in

2004 at a cost of £35,000.
