Culford Mews

 

The house and studio were built on the site of a single storey workshop. The design creates a sculpted block with elements carved out to realise

an exciting exchange of volumes.

 

Responding to a tight site,

the building is orientated internally,

with interlocking rooms that borrow views and light to create movement between spaces.

 

A simple palette of sustainable materials is rich in natural colour

and texture with slate, timber, render and stainless steel carefully detailed to complement each other.
