Al Maqtaa Fort Museum

 

Form_art's proposals at Al Maqtaa Fort create a dynamic visitor centre

to complement and contrast with the formal nature of the existing building.

 

A long flexible open space runs beneath a sculpted roof that,

gently folds out to the surrounding landscape.

 

This acts as an extended glass display case, framing a series of objects from the reception to the orientation box and to individual displayed objects that form the interpretive story of the Fort.
